RHYTHMS OF OUR CULTURES ( 2002 ) To carry out the theme "Rhythms In our Cultures", artists, teachers and students first identified and defined what they thought rhythm was and what it meant to their communities as well as the relationship between the two. For several months, mentors were each assigned a particular school to help the children to visually translate their perceptions of community and culture onto paintings.
